The CACNA2D1 gene encodes the protein and, this is involved in excitation-contraction mechanism of muscle cells during milk withdrawal, helps nipples to open and close. Because role physiological its relationship with quantitative trait locus (QTL) regions, known be associated mastitis resistance. In study, it was aimed investigate between different three SNP (C367400T, A496561G G519663A) on gene, subclinical Holstein breed cattle reared Develi district Kayseri province. SNPs were genotyped from DNA samples by PCR-RFLP method. California test (CMT) data, distributions genotypes calculated. genotype determined terms C367400T, G519663A found according CMT status. difference not significant (p>0.05). study group examined Chi-square (χ2) analysis conducted, observed that Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) C367400T SNPs, deviation HWE for (p<0.05).
